This site is my contribution to help get Square Dancing more noticed in Wales and around the UK. There are one or two other things here as well.
DANCING SHOULD ALWAYS BE FUN

CROES SGWAR

Croes Sgwar square dance club was started
back in 1994 in a town called Ammanford.
We had a group of people who wanted to
learn square dancing and no experienced
dancers at all. The caller we had decided it
was too far for him to travel after two weeks.
I took over the teaching and after a while became the club caller.
We have had some ups and downs but are still going.
Currently we meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Tuesday is a new venture with a number of new dancers that have just joined us and is going well. We are dancing Basic and Mainstream.
We meet at the Aberdulais Golf Range, The Ynys, Aberdulais, Neath.
We are meeting in the Llanerch Community Centre on Heol Nant y Felin, Llanelli on Wednesday nights at 8.00pm. It is easy to get to as it is only 5 minutes from the Trosta Roundabout. The programme danced is Mainstream and Plus. It sometimes gets very interesting. We enjoy having a live band join us on some club nights.
Visitors are always welcome but please ring first on 01269 855649 or email.
See the 'What’s Coming' page for details of events we have arranged.
If anyone reading this, who lives in South Wales, is interested in Square Dancing please get in touch. If I am unable to help myself I may 'know a man who can'.
